I was supposed to be at work by 8, so I decided to get there earlier by going at 7. Getting to the bus station, I sat there waiting for bus 2, which was to come… in 2 minutes. Then I saw bus 7 going the same direction. I had the urge to wait for bus 2, but because bus 7 was around, so it will also get there earlier. I ran off to Bus 7 station and sat on the bus waiting for it to drive. Bus 2 came and without wasting time drove off immediatly. Bus 2 got to its destination and bus 7 was still at the bus station. I sure got to work late.
Sometimes, God tells us to wait for Him on one spot, but because we want everything so fast and also want to do things our way, we often miss God’s blessings. God telling us to be patient and wait, knows the right time to get us what we want. Sometimes we go our own way, which ends up being so long and unpleasing and when we finally gets there, we’re so tired, messed up and worn out. If I had waited as I was supposed to, I wouldn’t have gotten to work late.
God is telling us to wait for Him to give us the go ahead to do things, so we don’t end up in regrets.
Psalm 37:7 “Wait patiently for the Lord! Wait confidently for him! Do not fret over the apparent success of a sinner, a man who carry out wicked schemes! (Net Bible)
May God help us to be patient and wait for Him. 🙂
